Georges Valley wins in Walk off fashion

Georges Valley plated 2 runs in the bottom of the 7th to earn an 8-7 home win over Wiscasset Ford. Travis Frye led off the 7th with a walk and stole second and then scored on Titus Kaewthong’s 1-out RBI single.  Kaewthong then stole second and third and scored when he beat the throw to the plate on Scotty Strong’s RBI fielder’s choice.

Wiscasset Ford scored twice in the top of the 7th Andy Hutchins walked, and then with 2 outs in the inning Travis Padilla, Daren Wood and Dillon McMahon each singled, the final 2 driving in runs to take a 7-6 lead.

Georges Valley erased a 5-2 deficit with a 4 run 6th to take a 6-5 lead when Jimmy Strong had a RBI ground out, Andrew King a 2 run single and then King scored when Zach Robinson reached on an error.

Wiscasset Ford scored 3 runs in the 4th when Mike Stewart drove in a run with a bases loaded single and then the other 2 runners scored when the throw to the plate skipped out of play.

Both teams scored twice in the first, Wiscasset Ford on a Nate Mills Sacrifice Fly and Grant Hefler’s RBI single. Georges Valley answered when Travis Frye scored on a wild pitch and Scott Strong collected a RBI ground out.
